From new construction to renovations, Sykes Projects creates calm, functional spaces with sensitivity to context—a surrounding landscape, a distinctive neighborhood, or an existing structure. The practice’s design ethos draws from the rich history of critical regionalism and minimalism, and seeks to incorporate the best practices of contemporary building science.

Larry Sykes is a Colorado registered architect with seventeen years’ experience designing residential projects. He holds a B.ENVD from the University of Colorado Boulder and has volunteered with the Denver Landmark Preservation Commission, the Denver Public Art Committee, and the Colorado chapter of the American Institute of Architects. He is a lifelong Coloradan who enjoys exploring and photographing interesting, unexpected and underappreciated buildings and landscapes.
