Minimalist cabinetry with recessed pulls and concealed lighting visually recedes, allowing original historic details like tall baseboards, thick door and window casings, and diamond-pane window sash to come to the fore. Non-original trim was removed, compact appliances installed for full functionality in limited space, and contemporary lighting added to create playful dialog between old and new.
